Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) plans and alliance could not defeat the people, who have stood up to fight for their rights. Addressing the participants of sit-in here on Thursday, the PTI chief stated that the time of Nawaz and Zardari was over and his party would bring them to the justice.
Imran added that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari would be made accountable before the public. "They are in power for the last 25 years but have never declared their assets," he said adding that his party would lodge cases against them after coming into power and take them to the court to recover the country's wealth.
He said that a true leader can undertake every reform to bring prosperity if he enjoys public support. The PTI Chief said that due respect would be given to the people in 'New Pakistan' and efforts would be made to eliminate poverty. He said that he can see a new Pakistan in the making due to the awakening of the nation.
Imran added that Nawaz Sharif had not come into power through struggle but with the support of General Jillani (Retd), former military ruler General Ziaul Haq and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). He deplored over Lahore incident wherein a security guard of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's son killed a young citizen, saying that Allah Almighty does not tolerate cruelty. The PTI chief said: "we can learn from the Western countries how they promoted education, established justice system as well as ensured provision of rights of the people."
