The Supreme Court here on Friday directed Managing Director of Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) to submit plan and map of a project for expansion of city's drainage system. A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Jawad S Khwaja was hearing a suo motu case against Wasa's failure to drain out rainwater in the city.
Earlier, MD Wasa Chaudhry Naseer appeared before the court and stated that a plan to expand three big tributaries had been finalised in order to make the city's drainage system more effective. He said PC-1 of the project had been approved with a cost of Rs 9 billion.
