Gilani condemns Indian aggression

11 Oct, 2014

Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday criticised Indian aggression on the Line of Control (LoC) which resulted in about 12 casualties as well as injuries of many Pakistanis over a period of few days. Talking to media men Gilani said, "We vehemently condemn the Indian aggression which caused the death of 12 Pakistanis."
Expressing his sympathies with the bereaved families Yousuf Raza Gilani said the cross border shelling and firing by Indian forces was escalating tension between the two neighbouring countries and if the situation remained the same it might lead to worsening of ties between the two countries.
Gilani informed that leader of the opposition on behalf of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) had submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly regarding the continuous breach by Indian security forces. Gilani expressed his profound grief and sorrow on the death of a youth at the hands of his son's guard and alleged that PTI was exploiting this case.
