Two new cases take polio count to 42 in KP

Two new polio cases were confirmed in Peshawar, taking total number of cases in the city to 14. According to provincial health department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the total number of polio cases has reached 42 in KP. In the related development, an anti-polio campaign was planned in Karachi however it could not begin for unidentified reasons. At least 7,00,000 children were to be vaccinated against the polio disease.
A three-day anti-polio drive had begun in Karachi on September 30, 2014, but it failed to start across the city owing to security reasons.
