Tesla has been going through a recent drama where an employee allegedly leaked sensitive data and did extensive sabotage to the company. Further follow-up informs that CEO Elon Musk has sued the employee and sent him an email saying he is a ‘horrible human being’.
Tesla filed a sensational lawsuit against former employee Martin Tripp, the alleged saboteur, hacker, framer and leaker where it accused him of stealing company data and hacking Tesla’s assembly-line machines.
The Washington Post released series of emails shared between Tripp in which Musk called Tripp ‘a horrible human being’ and called him out for ‘framing other people’.
Musk said that Tripp betrayed the company and should be ashamed for his actions. Tripp, however, replied back harshly saying, “You have what’s coming to you for the lies you have told to the public and investors.”

In those exchanged emails, Tripp denied to frame others for his actions, as he was accused of. Instead, he accused Tesla of waste and putting cars on road that had safety issues. Calling Musk’s cars as ‘millions of dollars of waste’, Tripp said that putting cars on the road with safety issues is being a horrible human being.
Musk swiftly responded saying that the Model 3 is the safest midsize vehicle on the planet. He wrote, “And of course a company with billions of dollars in product is going to have millions of dollars in scrap. This is not news. However, betraying your word of honor, breaking the deal you had when Tesla gave you a job and framing your colleagues are wrong and some come with legal penalties.”
A friend of Tripp even informed that he threatened to shoot the battery producing Tesla Gigafactory where he formerly worked, as per BGR.
Tripp claimed to be a whistleblower as opposed to a saboteur. He told CNN, “I am being singled out for being a whistleblower. I didn’t hack into system. The data I was collecting was so severe, I had to go to the media.”
