The formal listing of Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited (EPQL) took place on Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Monday. Syed Muhammad Ali, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engro Powergen, ringed the bell to commence the trading at KSE. People from financial sector, senior management of the exchange and other officials were also present on the occasion. Before the formal listing, provisional trading of the scrip was held at KSE from September 17, 2014 to October 24, 2014.
On the occasion, the CEO of Engro Powergen urged the government to resolve the circular debt issue to support the energy sector. He said Engro Powergen plant is fully operational and the company will ensure that its input supply remains uninterrupted.
