Two shot dead in Karachi

Two people were killed while two others were injured in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Saturday. According to police and rescue sources, a 20-year old man, Iqbal, son of Muhammad Aslam, was gunned down by an unidentified man near 'Aftab Clinic' located in Lyari in the jurisdictions of Chakiwara police station. The body of the victim was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.
Similarly, Wasi Sheikh, 26, son of Shaukat, was fatally injured by unknown assailants near Powerhouse in North Karachi. He was immediately rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment; however, sources said the victim succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.
Meanwhile, Hassan Shah, 28, was injured by an unidentified armed man in Gulshan-e-Sikandar (Tapu). The injured was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. In the same way, Tahir, son of Yousuf, was critically injured by unidentified armed assailants near Kamela bus stop in Lyari. He was rushed to the CHK for medical assistance.
