Nearly 50 huts gutted in Multan fire

As many as 50 huts were gutted when a fire broke out at the Juggi Colony on Azmat Wasti Road on Wednesday early in the morning. Entire goods reduced to ashes. However, rescue teams saved all the inhabitants. No one was injured. Though the authorities are yet ascertain the cause of fire, it was learnt that inmates burnt the fire to beat the cold spell. The fire broke out within no time and it caught the other huts.
Fire tenders brought the flames under control. Revenue officials made a preliminary estimate of the loss which was put at around One million rupees. Later the affectees blocked all the roads at Dera Adda Chowk resultantly traffic remained suspended for hours on different roads.
