Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday declared that his party is all set to lockdown Faisalabad with a warning to government not to a commit a blunder by trying to stop the 'junoon or madness'. Addressing his party's anti-government sit-in at D-Chowk, he said the days of status quo politics are numbered and the youths who are struggling for a new Pakistan will accomplish the gigantic task of executing `Plan-C' which will be kicked off on Monday.
He flayed the government has, so far, spent Rs 15 billion on self-projection by giving lavish advertisements to media houses which, according to him, is the modus operandi of corrupt rulers who are making all-out efforts to continue the 'dynastic rule' at the expense of taxpayers' money.
He called upon his workers not to be afraid of different pressure tactics by the government to stop PTI's shutdown call in major cities, saying unless you don't test your potentials, you would not be able to know how capable you are to confront the enemy. Making his ongoing protests against alleged rigging in last year elections conditional, Imran said the day it is proved that government has stolen the mandate of people, the 'darbari tola or group of courtiers along with their leader will find no place to hide their crime'.
He once again appealed the people of Faisalabad to stand up for their rights, saying no pain no gain and people of Faisalabad must be ready on December 8 to prove that they can snatch their rights from the clutches of those bent upon making them salves. Imran attacked Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, to whom he lost NA-122 (Lahore), saying if he was confident of winning the controversial seat without any rigging, he should not have taken refuge behind stay orders.
"If Nawaz Sharif thinks that he has secured 15 million votes, what scares him to open the controversial constituencies pointed out by PTI. The votes he claims to bag are bogus and this is the reason he is hesitant to order a probe into it," he added. He accused the PML-N of doing politics of force and discrimination, and alleged the traders are being intimidated after they announced shutter down strike. "PML-N won't be able to afford what is going to happen next," he warned.
He said that the people are being crushed due to skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, adding that Azadi Dharna says 'slaves' never made major achievements in the world, this is a war for real freedom and the people must ensure their presence in it as this is only platform through which justice can be made available.
The PTI chairman criticised the prime minister, saying he could not befool the nation by making `a fake innocent face'. If Sharif is so worried about the people, he added, the justice must be done and the poor and rich should be treated alike. "I am ready to get my constituencies opened. If Saad Rafiq is sure of victory in the polls just open the (polling) bags, and end the discussion. He (Saad Rafique) must come forward so that everything will be cleared after the recounting of votes," he added.
