After Disney's acrobatic 'Stickman' robot, the company decided to give it another shot by making a flying robot that poses just like a superhero.
One of Walt Disney’s Stuntronics’ newly made aerial robotic stunt performer has the ability to fly through the air and perform acrobatic tricks. It can also make superhero poses in the air while adjusting their trajectory to stick calculated landings as well, initially reported by Tech Crunch.
As per Gizmodo, fitted with on-board accelerometer and gyroscope arrays with laser findings, the video shows a humanoid robot performing aerial stunts including somersaults along with acing a perfect superhero flight pose.

Tony Dohi, a lead Struntronics scientist says that a featured animatronic character (lifelike robots designed to entertain the crowds at Disney theme parks and resorts) can possibly handle most of the duties for audience entertainment.
He said that a more advanced, agile and fragile robot ‘could do something fantastic in the middle of the show to take things to another level’.
However, Disney informed that the project is currently in development at Disney’s Imagineering labs. Though it has progressed a lot, it still has a long way to go, and won’t be witnessed in action anytime soon. Dohi says that such robots should bring more of the action seen on screens to the Disneyland.
