Man killed, four injured in Karachi violence

A man was killed while four others injured in different incidents of violence in Karachi on Wednesday. According to police and rescue sources, Muhammad Irshad, son of Muhammad Ibrahim, a worker of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), was shot dead by unknown people in New Karachi in the jurisdictions of New Karachi police station. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem examinations.
Meanwhile, three people were injured by an unknown armed man on the Banaras Bridge in the limits of Peerabad police station. Their identities were ascertained as Rizwan, son of Noor Rahim, and Sajid, son of Ameer Khan. The identity of the third victim was yet to be ascertained. They were rushed to ASH for treatment. A man, Matee-ur-Rahman, son of Mymar, was injured by unknown armed man in North Karachi.
