Some 350 students were awarded degrees at the 5th convocation of the Indus University held here on Wednesday at Expo Center. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Khuhro, congratulated the passing out students and their parents, saying Indus University was performing well in the field of higher education.
He exhorted the students to work hard and prove their mettle in their respective fields. He asked the graduating students to serve the nation with honesty, determination and integrity. The minister said that Sindh government was striving to improve the education system in the province. Earlier, Chancellor of Indus University said that Sindh government has created education-friendly environment in the city.
He said that Indus University is striving to spread knowledge among the youth of the country. Felicitating the graduating students, he advised the students to play their due role for the betterment of the country. On this occasion, he also paid homage to all the victims of the Peshawar school carnage. Vice Chancellor of the university, Kahlid Amin, also spoke on the occasion. Meritorious students were awarded gold medals and merit certificates.
