Selling official arms worth Rs 80 million: six Balochistan Constabulary personnel held

At least six personnel of Balochistan Constabulary were arrested on Friday for allegedly selling a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the official stock. According to police sources, the arms and ammunition worth Rs 80 million went missing from Balochistan Constabulary's stock depot. The police arrested six Balochistan Constabulary personnel allegedly involved in the fraud.
According to details, officials found the arms stock missing from the stock. On investigation it was found that dozens of Kalashnikovs, rifles, seven lakh bullets and other arms were missing. 14 arms dealers have also been taken into custody on revelations of the arrested personnel. CCPO Abdul Razzak Cheema told media persons that an investigation team under SP Investigation has been formed and hoed that the plundered arms would be recovered.
