SIUT to hold three-day moot on minimal invasive surgery

Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) will organise three days minimal invasive surgery conference and workshop here from January 5 to 7. SIUT officials on Friday said renowned external faculty of Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences Professor Shamim Khan from Guy's & St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK; Professor Matin Sheriff from Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Kent, UK, Dr Tariq Tassadaq from Saad Specialist Hospital, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, Dr Faiz Mumtaz from Barnet & Chase Farm NHS Trust, London, UK, and Dr Shikohe Masood from Medway NHS Foundation Trust, Kent, UK will share their experiences on innovative urological surgery modality.
The conference was said to comprise live operative sessions of laparoscopic surgeries, state of the art lectures, and expert panel discussions and laparoscopic suturing course. The programme is devised to emphasise on the importance of the technological advancement of surgical sciences especially in the field of urology, said the SIUT official.
