Preparations for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) have gained momentum in the provincial metropolis and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mosques, buildings and homes are being decorated with colourful lights, buntings and banners. Large banners and gigantic billboards have been placed to welcome and celebrate the occasion.
Arrangements have been completed to take out processions on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal while Milad Committees are busy in organising Naat Khawani. All routes of Eid-e-Mild processions have been illuminated and decorated. People of all ages particularly the youth are busy in decorating their areas to celebrate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) with full zeal and fervour. All bazaars, commercial shopping centres, and government and private buildings have been illuminated. A number of stalls selling banners, badges, stickers and flags have also been set up in different areas.
The main procession of Eid Milad will be taken out from Mid Chowk, Peshawar after Isha prayers on Sunday, while processions from other cities will also join it. The procession will culminate at historic Qissa Khawani bazaar. The government departments have been directed to extend all out help and clear the routes of the procession. Meanwhile, the Peshawar Press Club on Friday organised a Mahfil-e-Mild and Naat Khawani.
