Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan is keen to work with Bahrain to further improve economic relations. In a one-on-one meeting with Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa here at the Gudabiya Palace, Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan welcomes investment from Bahrain particularly in the energy sector.
Sharif said that Pakistan and Bahrain share common perceptions on many regioonal and international issues Sheikh Khalifa lauded the contribution of Pakistani community towards the stability and socio-economic well-being of Bahrain.
Later, the delegations of Pakistan and Bahrian led by their prime ministers held talks on bilateral relations.
Special Assistants to PM, Tariq Fatemi and Capt Shujaat Azim (retd), Ambassador at Large Javed Malik and Pakistan's Ambassador to Bahrain Muhammad Saeed Khan were present.
The Prime Minister of Bahrain also hosted lunch for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his delegation.
