ANF seizes drugs worth Rs 90 million

ANF during country-wide operations carried out at various cities recovered drug worth Rs 90 million in international market, besides arresting eight alleged drug traffickers. According to details, ANF Lahore on a tip-off seized a Nisan Sunny Car at Pindi Bhatian Motorway Interchange and recovered 21.6 kg Opium and 9 kg Charas from its secret cavities.
Two persons on board namely Raja Muhammad Ehsan and Sohail Ahmed, both residents of Islamabad were also arrested during the operation, who reportedly intended to transport the drugs from Peshawar to Faisalabad city for local consumption. ANF Lahore Airport Team detained a passenger Shahid Bashir r/o Sialkot at Sialkot Airport and recovered 1.450 kg heroin from his luggage. The accused also holds Spanish Nationality and was to board for Barcelona via Dubai on Emirates Airline flight.
ANF Peshawar arrested two accused namely Muhammad Arif r/o Haripur and Abdullah Jan Khan r/o Nowshera near Allied Bank, GT Road, Haripur City during handing / taking of drugs. The accused Abdullah Jan came from Peshawar to Haripur for delivery of drugs to the other arrested accused.
ANF Peshawar during routine vehicle checking intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 16.8 kg Charas from improvised cavities of the car. ANF Karachi in an operation conducted at Muhammadi More, Auto Bhan Road, Hyderabad, recovered 3 kg Charas Ashiq Ali r/o Tando Muhammad Khan. ANF Karachi apprehended Abdul Ghafoor r/o Tando Muhammad Khan near Giddu Chawk, Kotri Suzuki Stop, Hyderabad City and recovered 1.5 kg Charas from his possession.-PR
