Moong, Super Basmati rates slide on grain market

Moong prices were sharply down on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Punjab lost Rs 250 to Rs 12750, Moong Afghan dropped the same amount to Rs 13250, Masoor Canada, however, low quality was up by Rs 500 to Rs 9700 and the best quality was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 9800, Masoor Dall Canada slid by Rs 200 to Rs 11000-11200, other commodities maintained overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply, they observed.
On the grams side, grams Dall 50x50 shed Rs 25 to Rs 6725 amid slow trading, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type fell by Rs 20 to Rs 2980 and best quality was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3050, Super Basmati Punjab old lost Rs 1500 to Rs 10500 and Rs 11000, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low variety was unchanged at Rs 1425 while the good quality was up by Rs 10 to Rs 1450, they said.
