CoAS, UK Prime Minister discuss regional security

Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif was extended warm welcome upon his arrival in London on Wednesday on three-day official visit. According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) General Raheel Sharif was presented full guard of honour. He was accompanied by CDS UK, General Sir Nicholas Houghton on the occasion.
Pakistan Army chief held meeting with UK Secretary of Defence Michael Fallen and held extensive talks on regional security, stability, Afghanistan issue and issues of mutual interests in defence sector. Later General Raheel Sharif met UK Home Office Perm Secretary, Mark Sedwill & DG Security & Counter Terrorism, Charles Farr and discussed counter terror intelligence sharing with him.
The CoAS also visited 10 Downing Street and met National Security Advisor, Sir Kim Darroch and UK's Prime Minister David Cameron during which issues relating bilateral co-operation in defence sector and counter terrorism efforts came under discussion.
