Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab on Thursday condemned what it said artificial shortage of petrol in the provincial capital. PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary said the petrol pump owners had been creating hurdles to provide petrol to the masses. He said Lahore's daily consumption of petrol was 2.5 million liters whereas the current supply to the city stands at 400,000 liters. "The PML-N MNAs have their own filling station and thus the government is not taking any action against this artificial shortage of petrol, especially in Lahore," he claimed.
He strongly criticised the Punjab government's governance, which has failed to provide basic necessities to the public.
PTI Punjab Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said citizens had to face great inconvenience owing to the artificial shortage of petrol in Lahore.
