16 Jan, 2015

An Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Younas successfully escaped police custody when Lahore High Court (LHC) dismissed his interim-bail. He was involved in a corruption case registered against him by Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).
When ACE officials tried to arrest him, he thrashed them and ran away. Police officials deployed there also did not arrest him.
Muhammad Younas was accused of getting bribe of Rs 20,000 to investigate a matter of four buffalos. The ACE held investigation on the complaint of Khursheed Anwar and found him guilty. The ACE lodged an FIR against accused Younas. However, the accused filed a bail application in the session court which was rejected.
On Thursday, the accused argued before the LHC that he did not get bribe and was implicated in the case falsely. However, the lawyer of ACE produced evidences before the court and court dismissed his bail application.
