Three people were killed another was injured in separate incidents of violence here on Thursday. A private company's security guard namely Allah Bux, 35, was shot and killed while his friend Shoaib, 30, was shot and injured by unidentified men near Baitul Mukarram Mosque located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, in the jurisdiction of Aziz Bhatti police station.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when they were on the way to their homes on a bike. Suddenly, two persons riding bike intercepted them near Baitul Mukarram Mosque and opened multiple fires on them from close range and fled leaving them fatally injured.
The victims were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment. However Allah Bux succumbed to his injuries due to massive bleeding; while Shoaib was under treatment at the said hospital till filing of this report. "It would be premature to say anything about the involvement behind this incident. The police will launch investigation soon after the FIR is filed by the victim families," an official in Aziz Bhatti told Business Recorder.
In another case, a man was killed by unknown persons near Shan-e-Haidar Chowk, located in Orangi Town. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. The body was shifted to ASH for post-mortem examinations.
Similarly, Ghulam Murtaza son of Hussain Bux was gunned down by unidentified persons in Landhi Bhense Colony Road No-7. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem examinations.
