Twitter now allows its users to check popular tweets they missed while they were offline. Twitter promises the new function should allow users a quick overview and make it easier to jump into the service. It's not clear which criteria will be used in picking the tweets.
Until now, Twitter has never filtered its feed: Users only receive entries to which they subscribe or ones retweeted by friends.
The news site TechCrunch.com reports that the While You Were Away function is still not available for all clients.
