PTI Punjab demands resignation of Abbasi

PTI Punjab on Monday demanded resignation of Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for not resolving petrol crisis in Punjab. PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said it has been a more than a week but still petrol shortage continues throughout the Punjab. He also said people are facing hardships due to bad governance of the PML-N government.
"Pakistan State Oil has been flagging the looming crisis due to the sheer incompetence of government," he added. PTI Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said in whole world petrol getting cheaper but in Pakistan there is shortage. She said, "If PSO officials and MD could be suspended then why Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi could not."
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said Karachi consumes 60 percent of the petrol then why there is no shortage in Karachi and why the CNG stations were opened in Lahore and why not in the rest of Punjab. She also said furnace oil reserves in the country are about to end while no one is ready to take any action. She urged the government to take notice of that. She warned the government of legal and political action if oil crisis not resolved. Meanwhile, the PTI Punjab held a protest against petrol, electricity and gas shortage in Punjab outside the Lahore Press Club. The PTI leaders and workers were present on the occasion.
