Blasphemous caricatures: lawyers boycott IHC, district courts' proceedings

The legal fraternity on Monday boycotted proceedings of Islamabad High Court (IHC) and district courts in protest against the publication of offensive caricatures of Holly Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by a satirical magazine in Paris, France. The call for the strike has been given by the Pakistan Bar Council. Following the call, the lawyers boycotted the IHC and district courts. Moreover, the lawyers from Rawalpindi also didn't turn to the courts in protest against the blasphemous caricatures.
The lawyers also passed a resolution against blasphemous act and decided to send it to the government.
