"Technical and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will start two new short courses for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in March. The courses will include Tablet Manufacturing Machine Operator and Capsule Manufacturing Machine Operator."
It was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing a meeting of launching of short courses for pharma industry. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, General Manager (Academics) TEVTA Engr Azhar Iqbal Shad, Director R&D Dr Iftikhar Hussain Shah and others were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser said that pharmaceutical industry is also one of the largest industries in Pakistan which is meeting national and internationally demand of medicines. This sector had been being neglected in past as TEVTA did not offer courses as per their demand.
At present, they are lacking trained manpower. New short courses related to pharma industry, initiated by TEVTA, will be very useful because job opportunities are easily available in this sector. Now, TEVTA has finalised the curricula of short courses. Earlier, General Manager Academics Engr Azhar Iqbal Shad briefed the Chairperson TEVTA regarding his fruitful meeting to start demand driven short courses related to pharmaceutical industry with Chairman Wilshire Laboratories Private Limited Amjad Ali Jawa. General Manager Academics said that the owner of the pharma industry has appreciated the initiative taken by TEVTA to support the pharma industry by offering skilled courses.
