Excellent performance: KP IGP awards cash prize to Mansehra police

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani on Monday awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates to the Mansehra police on excellent performance against kidnapper and extortionists in a ceremony held at CPO. According to details a trader namely Farid was kidnapped at gunpoint from a shop in Mansehra city for ransom. The kidnapper demanded 10 million rupees as ransom.
A case was registered and a team was constituted for the recovery of a trader. The technical unit assisted the responding party. The police team raided a house in villager karkalla as mobile call was received from there. The kidnapper upon seeing the police party opened fire on them and tried to escape from the scene. The police party chased the kidnapper and arrested the two along with Kalashnikovs and safely recovered the trader.
Similarly, in another case some unknown accused entered in the house of a trader Muhammad Saleem in Mansehra city and looted cash and gold ornaments. Later on the accused also made calls from mobile and demanded three million rupees as extortion. The police team with their extreme professionalism efficiently traced and arrested the four culprits namely Zeeshan, Hamid Ali Khan, Muhammad Waseem and Nouman and recovered the looted money and gold ornaments from them. Three pistols were also recovered from them. While addressing the ceremony the IGP commended the excellent performance and bravery of the Mansehra police in the above mentioned cases. The police chief said that such action of police will create a sense of security amongst the general public and deterrence for the criminals.
