Inclusive uplift critical for preventing conflict: Pakistan

Pakistan has stressed the need for promoting inclusive development to ensure participation of all marginalized segments of society in the development process.
This was stated by Pakistan's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Masood Khan, while speaking in a debate on inclusive development for the maintenance of international peace and security in UN Security Council, He said peace, development and human rights are the three pillars of the UN system and collective security. He said that poverty eradication and reducing inequalities and management of natural resources create an enabling environment for peace and security.
