A high-level meeting of southern Punjab senior military and civil administration was held here at Multan Corps Headquarters to discuss security situation. The meeting reviewed security arrangements here. The Inter-Services Public Relations officials said that Multan Corps II Commander Lieutenant General Abid Pervez chaired the meeting and officials from intelligence agencies took a part in the meeting and submitted their respective intelligence reports.
The Corps Commander expressed his satisfaction over security arrangements and assured the civil security officials that armed forces would remain in standby position to help civil administration at the time of turmoil. All the commissioners from Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal, Regional Police Officers of three divisions, Director Special Branch, Director Intelligence Bureau and their representatives attended the meeting.
