Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 60 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said. Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation in slum areas, Afghan habitats, under construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns.
Following his directions, sub-divisional police officer performing duty in Islamabad headed the search operation in the limits of Margalla, Shalimar, Golra, Tarnol and Noon police station. Station House Officers of Margalla, Shalimar, Golra, Tarnol and Noon Police Stations along with police teams conducted search operation in Sector G-9, Sector F-11, Sector G-12, Sector G-13, G-14, Chongi No 26, Ithfaq Colony, Jhangi Syedan, Chastian Abad and under construction buildings as well as plazas in the area. They succeeded in nabbing 60 suspects who are being investigated further. The SSP Islamabad has said the purpose of the search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and further directed all SHOs to continue it.-PR
