Provincial Minister for Home Colonel Shuja Khanzada (retd) has directed Secretary Law and Secretary Prosecution to update the newly enforced laws regarding National Action Plan on the web portal of Law Department besides getting them translated in Urdu language for making them easier for the common man to understand. He said that maximum publicity should be given to these laws.
The Minister directed Prosecution Department to maintain a close contact with Sessions judges and actively pursue the cases registered under the new laws so that criminals could be brought to justice. He also issued instructions for setting up district criminal justice co-ordination committees and to hold their meetings at least once a week.
He said that district public prosecutor should extend full assistance to district administration and police and also give them their expert opinion. He issued instructions for providing training to investigation officers at district level in the laws of ATA 1997 so that criminals could not get bail easily.
Shuja Khanzada directed that all rules and regulations should be strictly followed in the registration of cases against criminals. He said that law enforcement agencies should ensure protection of life and property of citizens, especially foreign nationals living or working in Pakistan and DCOs and DPOs should ensure checking of project sites and the areas around their residences for providing them foolproof security.
