Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has advised the government to mend its ways instead of deceiving the nation by making lame excuses and using various tactics.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Khurshid Shah said that the recent petrol crisis rendered Rs 10 billion losses per day to the national exchequer and now the electricity crisis seems looming large.
He said that ineligibility and negligence of the PML-N government has weakened democracy and state institutions but the government was not ready to give up its stubbornness which is not in the national interest.
The opposition leader said that despite being informed about shortfall of electricity due to non-availability of furnace oil, no arrangements were made to deal with the situation.
Khurshid Shah said the government should not test the patience of the masses.
