The city police on Wednesday claimed to have gunned down five alleged terrorists associated with a banned organisation in encounter here. According to police, they conducted a targeted operation in Nawab Goth of Shah Latif Town on intelligence reports. SSP Malir, Rao Anwar told media persons that the outlawed instead of surrendering themselves opened indiscriminate firing on the police party. In retaliation, the police killed five armed terrorists while eight were arrested.
He said that arms and hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of the deceased terrorists. He said that the accused were involved in various crime activities in the area with the help of gang war groups.
