The launching ceremony of national mega innovation and entrepreneurship event titled "DICE 2015" will be held at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on Thursday (today) at New Senate Hall. The event will be arranged by Dice Foundation and Office of Research Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC), UAF. It is aimed at providing a common platform for academia and industry to work on innovative ideas and products and to use the innovation as the tool of wealth of the nation.
UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Pakistan Council for Science and Technology Chairman Professor Dr Anwar-ul-Hassan Gilani, Punjab Small Industry Corporation Managing Director Bilal Ahmad Butt, GM Monitoring National ICT Fund Wasim Hashmi Syed, Sarah Pervez from British Council, Office of Research Innovation and Commercialisation UAF Director Dr Asif Ali and Director IBMS Dr Munir Ahmad will address the inaugural session.
The guests will also visit the exhibition centre in which students of the university will display their products. The main event of DICE 2015 will be held in November 2015, at UAF Expo Centre in which scientists and scholars of all universities will come up with innovative ideas meant for addressing the issues of industry and general public.
