ISO stages demonstration in Peshawar

Condemning attack on Imambargah in Shikarpur, members of Imamia Students Organisation (ISO) staged a protest demonstration outside Peshawar Press Club here on Sunday. Led by ISO education secretary, Naveed Anjum, and Information Secretary Jan Ali Turi, a dozen of demonstrators, mostly Shia community, strongly criticised the federal and Sindh governments for failure in elimination of terrorism acts, and raised full-throated slogans against them. They said the government top responsibility is to ensure protection of live and properties of the masses.
The demonstrators termed the attack on Imambargah was highly deplored, adding the government has completely failed to protection of religious places, besides live and properties of the masses. They asked the government to resign after continuous occurrences of terrorism incidents in the country.
The protesters demanded the government to carry-out a clean up operation in every nook and corner of the country, against terrorists and give them exemplary punishment under the proposed National Action Plan.
