Wi-tribe - one of the leading internet service provider in Pakistan has announced that with the assistance from their customers they will be making a sizeable donation (five percent of customer's bill) to Shoukat Khanam Memorial Hospital. It is estimated that more than 100,000 people die yearly from cancer in Pakistan, and Shoukat Khanam Memorial Hospital gives financial support to at least 75% of their patients making it the biggest cancer charity hospital in Pakistan.
It is indeed a breath of fresh air that in this era of corporate greed and cost cutting companies like Wi-tribe not only understands and acts upon the ethics of corporate social responsibility, but engages their customers and encourages them to act in such a noble cause.
