'Issues of businesspeople to be resolved to promote investment, employment'

Sindh Minister for Industries and Trade, Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that the ministry is determined to resolve the issues of industrialists and workers to promote the investment and decrease unemployment in the province. He said this while speaking on the eve of luncheon held in his honour by SITE Association of Trade and Industries on Tuesday.
"All officers are directed to do their duties honestly as the issues of business community could be resolved," he said, adding any kind of negligence would not be tolerated in this regards. All kind of encroachments should be removed from the SITE area within 15 days otherwise the strict action would be taken against them. Regardless whosoever he may be, the minister said. He also directed the police officials to take action against encroachers.
The issue of safe drinking water would be resolved soon by establishing filter plant at SITE area, he said. The government would take A serious step to resolve the law and order situation in SITE area which became the serious embarrassment to the business community. Malkani said that the work on extension of SITE-2 would be started soon which would also help the government in promoting more jobs opportunities in the province. He also assured the community of taking up the issue of rehabilitation of deteriorated roads and infrastructure at SITE. On the occasion, Chairman SITE Association, Muhammad Aslam Memon briefed the minister regarding their issues being faced by business community at SITE area due to various prevailing issues there.
Later, speaking on the occasion of inauguration of Natural Gas Pipeline at Sindh Small Industries, he said that as many area of 50 acres had been allotted at SITE area where more than 400 small and large scale units industries would be set up. The minister warned that no one would be allowed to misuse the plots for any other purpose rather than industries units. Mazhar ul Haq, Shahid Ghori, Faheem, Shoukat Khayam, Shahid Qaimkhani, Saman Mal, Sallahuddin, Dileep Kumar, Pahalaj Raj, Daya Ram and Amin Khatari were present on the occasion.
