President of PML-N UK branch Zubair Gul has accused Punjab's former governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar for making the Governor House a den of conspiracies against the sitting government and resigned when his acts were exposed. While addressing a press conference in London, Zubair Gul said the former governor had been advising Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri against government. He said while Chaudhry Sarwar spoke of land mafias but his son bargained with the mafia people while sitting in the Governor House.
He rejected the allegations by Chaudhry Sarwar particularly about occupation of properties of overseas Pakistanis and described them as totally baseless. He said there could be one or two cases of this nature but the picture given by Chaudhry Sarwar was without any basis.
Zubair Gul said there is no precedence of action taken by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif as far as dealing with gangs of criminals and Qabza groups. He challenged Sarwar to bring to light a single case of Qabza grop and he would personally speak to Mian Shahbaz Sharif and demand action against the culprits.
He said the Office of the Governor is constitutional and he could not be given administrative powers. He said the Prime Minister and the Punjab Chief Minister gave him all the respect but Sarwar misused his position and made the Governor House a den of conspiracies.
