Five people including two cops were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence, here on Thursday. According to police and rescue sources, Assistant Sub-inspector Saeed, son of Ghazi Khan, and Constable Ejaz Ahmed, son of Mukhtiyar Ahmed, were killed in an armed clash with criminals near Bhosa Mandi road No 5, Bhense Colony, in the limit of Sukhan police stations. The bodies of victims were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for postmortem examinations.
In another incident, Allah Bux, son of Abdullah, was shot and killed while Khair Muhammad, son of Khuda Bux, was shot and injured by unidentified men in the same incident near Siddiqui Masjid Mahajir Camp No-2, in the limit of Baldia police station. The body and injured were transferred to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsy and treatment respectively. Police said the both victims were Baloachi speaking.
Similarly, a man was killed by unidentified assailants near Powerhouse Roundabout, located in New Karachi. The identification of the deceased could not be ascertained till filing of the report. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.
In another case, Muhammad Zaman, 60, was expired after allegedly consuming poisonous foodstuff at his home, located near Quality Godam, in Shershah area. The body of victim was shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities. Meanwhile, two persons Nafeez son of Manzoor and Naseeruddin son of Akhtar, were short and injured by unidentified persons in North Karachi, Sector 5L. They were rushed to ASH for treatment.
