City police on Thursday claimed to have arrested as many as 57 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of the metropolis during last 24 hours. Police said that 78 raids and five encounters carried out as a part of Karachi operation led to the arrests of 57 criminals who were allegedly involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations, police arrested 16 criminals under Arms Act. 10 were arrested under Narcotics Act, one terrorist, 19 absconders, one dacoit, one extortionist, and some nine others were also arrested during the said time period.
