PDWP approves two uplift schemes worth Rs 1.679 billion

The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved two development schemes of roads sector with an estimated cost of Rs 1.679 billion on Friday including completion of city roads, Gujrat (PP-111) at the cost of Rs 932.365 million. These schemes were approved in the 35th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to Spokesman for P&DD, the other approved development scheme was: widening / Improvement of road from Madina to Awan Sharif total length=33.50 kms (in three phases), District Gujrat at the cost of Rs 747.189 million.
