KP police arrest 188 suspects, seize arms, ammunitions

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the ongoing operation against criminals and anti-social elements have rounded up 188 suspects and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunitions. During the operation the KP police conducted operations in different parts of the province and recovered 38 arms and ammunition with 1,690 rounds of bullets. Similarly, 827 houses and 253 hotels were checked and six cases were registered against law breakers.
During snap checking on 117 check points, 197 suspects were held and recovered six weapons and 31 cartridges. During the action against illegal Afghan nationals 60 people were detained and 20 cases were registered against them.
Similarly, 186 people were arrested on violation of illegal use of loudspeaker and 180 loudspeakers were taken into possession while 181 cases were registered against the violators and 83 hate martial were seized and 41 cases registered against 52 people. Security inspections of 1,053 educational institutions were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up their security arrangements.
