Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with the United Kingdom, which were based on mutual respect, interest and understanding. In a meeting with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Member of British House of Lords who called on him at PM House here, the Prime Minister said frequent interaction between the leadership of the two countries has resulted in enhancing of political, economic and cultural ties.
However, there is scope for further expansion of relations, he added. Sayeeda Warsi apprised the Prime Minister of matters relating to the Pakistani community in the UK, said a statement issued by the PM office. She said that due to its hard work and dedication, the community has built bridges between the two countries while positively contributing towards improving Pakistan's image abroad.
