The business community of Southern Punjab on Friday strongly condemned the suicidal attack on an Imambargah in which 19 faithfuls have so far been died and more than 60 injured. President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mian Iqbal Hassan said terrorists were enemies of Islam, people and the state and they have no religion.
He expressed his concern on lapses of security at Hayatabad Imambargah which had provided an opportunity to gunmen and attackers to enter the worship place during Friday prayers when more than 800 people were offering prayers. They appealed to the Shia community to be peaceful and not to take the law in its hands. He also expressed sympathy with the victims of this terrorist activity.
