As many as 35 people, including women and children, fell unconscious after eating toxic food here on Sunday. Sources said that participants of an engagement ceremony in Nawabshah took meal which was contaminated due to unknown reasons. As a result about three dozen people, including women and children fainted.
The affected people were rushed to the People's Medical Hospital, where according to hospital sources their condition was out of danger.
Police have collected the food sample and sent it for laboratory test to ascertain the cause of contamination of food.
