AWP announces to take full part in LG polls

Awami Workers Party (AWP) announced that it will fully take part in upcoming local bodies' elections by fielding its candidates all constituencies across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The announcement was made by AWP Central Chairman, Fanoos Gujr while addressing at a press conference at press club here on Monday.
Flanked by the provincial chairman, Shahab Khattak, general secretary Bakhtiyar Khan, Silaab and others he said the party had decided to make full participation in the upcoming local bodies' polls in the province, and mass contacts campaign will soon launch in this regard.
Talking about Kashgar-Gwadar economic corridor, he opposed the change in natural route of Sino-Pak economic route, and asked the government to immediate initiate work on the original planned route. He said any change in original route, was unjust with Pakhtuns and Baloch, which could be strongly resisted. Fanoos Gujr said the AWP has also decided to observe International Women Day on March 08. He added AWP workers will hold awareness walks, rallies and functions on the day. He further said a function will also arrange at Peshawar Press Club.
