Shahbaz grieved on human losses due to rains

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of human lives and properties due to recent rains in different areas of the province here on Monday. As many as 10 people including three children and one woman died in separate rain related mishaps here on Monday. According to reports at least two people lost their lives while one sustained injuries as roof collapsed in Shahdara in Lahore due to heavy rain.
Meanwhile the Meteorological department has issued severe weather warning for three days as widespread rain (with snowfall over the hills) occurred in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on Saturday and Sunday. Heavy downpour thrashed Sialkot with 101 mm rain, Rawalpindi/Chaklala 72 mm, Islamabad /Golra 87 mm, Rawalakot 78mm, Cherat 68mm, Chakwal 57mm, Dir 56mm, Malam Jabba 49mm, Gujrat 47mm, Kotli 42mm, Mangla 40mm, Saidu Sharif 38mm, Kalam 35mm, Muzaffarabad 34mm, Lower Dir 33mm, Gujranwala 31mm, Murree 19mm, Chitral 16mm, Balakot 14mm, Pattan 13mm, Kakul 12mm, Bahawalpur 11mm, Gupis.
The Met department in its daily weather report has forecast more rain (with snowfall over the hills) for Tuesday and Wednesday at scattered places of Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), Upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
