The Institute of Charted Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is going to organise CFO Conference 2015 under the theme "Sustaining Excellence - Shifting Gears" in Karachi and Islamabad. Talking to media persons at ICAP's head office, President ICAP Yacoob Suttar apprised them that the first phase of the ICAP CFO Conference 2015 would be held in Karachi on March 17, followed by a similar forum on March 19 in Islamabad.
"Every year, we facilitate the professionals in overcoming many challenges to achieve new milestones in business through this distinguished platform," Yacoob Suttar said. He said ICAP recognised the accomplishments of professionals, who were consistently producing best results for their organisations, while enhancing the productivity of the nation besides serving as the corporate leaders of the industry, adding ICAP members were also acting as seasoned regulators of the financial sector.
Khalilullah Shaikh, Chairman PAIB Committee, ICAP & Chief Internal Auditor, K-Electric Ltd said that six years ago, the 'Professional Accountants in Business' [PAIB] Committee of ICAP took that initiative to reach out to its members in industry and provide them with a platform to discuss, debate and seek pragmatic solutions of emerging business and finance issues.
"Being a resourceful platform to learn about evolving strategies and dynamics of business, finance and accountancy, the event also involves recognising and celebrating the outstanding contributions of ICAP members for corporate sector through Professional Excellence Awards. Over the years, the annual CFO Conference and Professional Excellence Awards have emerged as the most anticipated calendar events of the Institute," he informed.
Shaikh further added that sustainability, excellence and transformation were the key dimensions of challenges for corporate leaders that day. The CFO Conference 2015 with its theme 'Sustaining Excellence - Shifting Gears' would have renowned luminaries and top notch professionals focusing on these aspects for invigorating skill sets of emerging leaders. He said participants would also benefit from the Success Stories of visionaries besides sessions on communication with Impact and why every manager has to constantly hunt for talent are also planned to envision professionals on the road to success.
That year the PAIB Committee of ICAP, he said, had made special efforts for engagement of participants through vibrant social media campaign, entailing a CFO Conference website, a tailor-made Conference Mobile App and presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. He said arrangements had also been made to ensure Live streaming of conference for ICAP members and other Pakistani professionals working overseas. Vice President ICAP-South, Najmul Hussain Syed was also present on this occasion.
