Double murder case: KP IGP suspends three personnel for faulty investigation

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has suspended one SHO, Investigation Officer and ASI on faulty investigation in a double murder case with immediate effect. A citizen of Mardan has submitted an application to IGP in which he complained of faulty investigation and implication of 80 years old innocent person in a double murder case.
The IGP constituted a three-member police board under the chairmanship of DIG Investigation Headquarter to probe into the matter and submit report to him. The police board in its report termed the complaint of the citizen factual and further reported that the case has been registered with false intention by SHO and the investigation officers deliberately carried out investigation on wrong footings in double murder case.
The police chief in light of the report suspended all the three police officers SHO Qazi Asmat, Investigation officer Bakht Jamil and ASI Zahir Shah of Toru Mardan police station with immediate effect. The IGP also ordered further departmental enquiry against the suspended three officers for major punishment.
