HRW wheat bids flat

Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat were unchanged in the southern US Plains on Friday and farmer selling was minimal as K.C. wheat futures hovered near 4-1/2-year lows, grain merchandisers said. At 10:50 am CST (1650 GMT), benchmark K.C. May hard red winter wheat was up 3 cents at $5.20 per bushel. Temperatures were warming up in the Plains following a cold spell, with weekend highs expected in the 60s Fahrenheit (15-20 Celsius) in Wichita.
